Samson Siasia Fired
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday relieved Super Eagles’ coach, Samson Siasia of his duties after failing to qualify Nigeria for the African Nations Cup.
Mr Siasia came under pressure after the Super Eagles failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, for the first time in 25 years.
The decision was taken at an executive committee meeting of the NFF in Abuja.
Siasia’s Super Eagles drew 2-2 at home to Guinea early this month, a result that was not enough to take to next year’s finals.
